The best part of my holiday for me was going to Rotorua. It was enjoyable and fun, we stayed in an amazing house it had 3 big rooms and 1 small room where me and my brother had to sleep in, with a big sitting room.The people who came was Me, Brother, Mum, 2 of my aunt’s, Uncle, cousins and their dog.The first day we went to a market, while we were walking it smelt like rotten eggs because of the mud pools. Than when it was night we went out for dinner, we ordered and while we were waiting for the food we were watching the rugby game. After the food arrived we ate burgers, chips, pasta and chicken.We then got tired out and drove back home. We got into our pyjamas after all our showers and got ready for bed.The reason why it was the best part of my holiday was because it was the most funnest part.Now the worst part in it was travelling to

. The reason why was because I couldn’t stand the smell of it.While we were travelling back home yesterday I had remembered my lolly bag I won from Timezone. Me, Mum and my brother than got home and unpacked our clothes, had showers and rested. It was only the worst because I forgot my lollies ay ;( and yes I do regret not checking before leaving.

On the 13th May,Room 7 were going sailing.They boarded onto the Tamaki college vans and traveled to Oakley bay.The students were talking about how they’re feeling and why.The first thing they did was setting the Optimist boat up.

Setting up the Optimist boat:The coach taught Room 7 how to set up the Optimist boat,the first thing to do was strapping the sail in and making sure the main sheet was clicked in.Then when it was all set up we went to put our swimsuits on. After that we had morning tea and then…we had a go at sailing.

Sailing.The first thing we did to go in the water was Room 7 wheeled the boat into the water and then a person had to wheel up the trolley well the other person was holding the boat with a rope.Then they had to jump into the boat and steer into the deep.(not really deep.) Then when we steered back to shore we had lunch and went back out to sea.But it wasn’t sailing it was capsizing.

Capsizing.well we were in the sea we were told to believe in ourselves to flip the boat over and they did about upto 4-6 people who did it. That’s what Room 7 did on sailing!!

A time when I was proud was when my team won the soccer match because my team has never experienced victory (but I think some have I don’t know.)I got 2 goals and was super proud because in 2020 I got no goals 🙁 but in 2021 I got 2.I was very proud of my friends on the other team because they tried their  hardest to push and get a goal.Some got 1,but they were all so awesome and intelligent.

Hi,my name is Alexis Popata Hanson.I am from New Zealand and born in Auckland.My family includes my dad,my mum,my 3 brothers and my 1 sister. (sorry I don’t wanna say there names)My culture is Maori,and I love going to my aunt’s house,and travelling to my dad’s house down in Hamilton.
