Water fun day.

At Ruapotaka school, every Friday we have a thing called sports rotation but last week Friday our staff decided to change it up a bit. They decided to do a water fun day. The sports that were included were Water-slide, swimming, bucket challenge and who can fill up the bucket full of water with a sponge. The leaders that controlled the activities were the teachers, as we got into our house colours we lined up and took ourselves to where we go. Every 25 minutes we switched activities and saw our friends passing us. After when my group went to the swimming pool I decided to put my feet inside and sit on the sides but than little kids started splashing me so I decided to get out and splash them back.

At the end of the day, my group finished off with the sponge challenge and one of my teammates decided to run and slip which made our bucket spill to make us loose. After the bell rang and people got their ice blocks and got changed than headed back home. I hope to have another day like that but some activities are switched up.

Healthy food choices are essential for your physical and mental wellbeing.

Have you ever discovered anything about food groups? Well, some food products are put into groups such as Carbohydrates, Protein, Dairy, Vegetables & fruit and lastly fat and oils. Do you know why food choices are made? well some food has too much sugar inside and some mostly filled with flour. Here I will explain to you the importance of healthy food.

 

Do you know what the opposite of healthy food is? Yes, junk food. Compare junk food to healthy food, like if you were hungry would you choose junk or an apple? Now do you understand what junk food does to you? Junk makes you want more and more and less healthy food.

 

Do you ever wonder what life would be like without junk food? Some people would be sad but you still got fruits, healthy products and things that’ll still taste nice.  Junk food is delicious as we can all agree on, but you’ve got to notice that healthy food can also help with your body. For example it helps your bones get stronger and your muscles get bigger. Most foods help make your blood flow and heart pump.

 

Like most people they love junk food. Did you learn about healthy food and junk? Well if you did, I hope that all my facts helped ! Remember to eat more healthy food and less junk.

 

Exercise.

  2. Exercise will help you improve mussels and strength.
  3. Exercise speeds up your heart rate and pumps your blood.

On Monday the 27th of November, My class had Mrs Grant for Cybersmart. We learnt how to use a sketching app.

“Spread happiness”

I would recommend watching the Happiness infection because it’s a really comedy show and it will bring laughter to you.

The happy tongan clowns dancing was my favourite scene to watch.

The most outstanding characters in my opinion were Brittany, Sia and Lisa.

A part of the story I mainly enjoyed was when the tongan clowns ran after the kids.

line that was spoken mainly was “Spread the happiness!”

Drama and Dance.

This term, room 1 has been learning about dance moves and plays.

We learnt some new vocabs in our plays and know how to say it.

I’ve had so much fun doing Just Dance and learning some new dances including it.
